    About this coffee

    In Kinyarwanda, Kira means "to be blessed" and Ikawa (EeKAHwah)  means "coffee."

    A darker roast of its sibling, Muraho Morning, Kira Ikawa leans toward a caramel sweetness with a bold, roasty finish. This is both our darkest and our most traditional roast - African coffee the way your grandfather would like it.

    Already a huge fan, now a regular buyer

    I quite enjoy the Kira Ikawa as a bean, due to it being extremely easy to work with, and not being too overpowering. I'm not too worried about ruining its flavor or wasting the bean because its a dark roast, and so when I get lighter beans, I've already been able to measure out the specifics of what I want.

    Perfect for a Sunday Morning

    We switched to offering this coffee in between our services on Sunday and everyone has loved it. The coffee also keeps quite well (on 5lb lasts us several weeks and it stays quite fresh the whole time).
