About this coffee

In Kinyarwanda, Kira means "to be blessed" and Ikawa (EeKAHwah)  means "coffee."

A darker roast of its sibling, Muraho Morning, Kira Ikawa leans toward a caramel sweetness with a bold, roasty finish. This is both our darkest and our most traditional roast - African coffee the way your grandfather would like it.

Amazing coffee!

When I opened our new 5 lb bag of Ikera Kakiwa, the most amazing aroma come from the bag! Almost flowery, with a deep scent. We bought it for our church coffee hour, so I divided it into 2 cup baggies. On Sunday, everyone loved it. I displayed the bag so all could see it was from Rwanda, because our church has a special connection with the church in that country. Several asked for the website so they could order coffee for themselves. I want to order a few stickers to give out as well. Thank you for a wonderful product that does such good.

Home away from home

I'm currently away from my local LTH and can't get my daily fix. I placed an order to have a little home away from home, and I'm so glad I did. I'm addicted to the Kira Ikawa blend and I look forward to starting my day with a nice hot cup. Order is on repeat!!!

Not typical dark roast

Before trying Kira Ikawa I did not enjoy dark roast coffee, but clearly I just wasn't trying the right kind of dark roast coffee! It is wonderful and deep without being bitter. Big fan!
