The past two years have been hard. There has been unimaginable loss, ongoing uncertainty, and a lack of in-person connection.

As we move deeper into winter, a natural time to reflect, we realize there’s also been a lot of good. A lot of things we can be grateful for and fortunately, this year, we can spend more time together.

We can also do more good when we work together.

Opened in late 2019 near our Kivu Lake washing stations, the Leonard B. Golden Medical Center has already provided accessible, affordable care to more than 7,000 members of the community. Before the clinic, people living in these areas had to walk at least six hours — and up to two days — to reach a hospital. Sometimes, due to the distance, they wouldn’t go to seek care at all.

Now, we’re raising money to further support the clinic’s maternity ward. With your help, we’ll be able to provide expectant mothers in these rural regions with safe, quality maternity care.
