Ubumuntu Black + Tan Wall Discs

Handcrafted by women who grow your coffee.

These meaningful designs come straight from the heart of Rwanda. Ubumuntu, the Kinyarwandan word for Ubuntu, means “humanity towards others.” During apartheid, the meaning became a symbol of African and social unity across the globe and is usually translated to English as “kindness” and “generosity.” Handwoven from smooth raffia palm wrapped around native grasses and reeds, these roundels are the perfect addition to your home.

    • This coil-woven platter is flat, so it is perfect as a centerpiece or wall decor and has a loop on the back making it easy to hang on a wall.

    • The coils are native grasses carefully wrapped in smooth raffia palms.

    • 3-piece set: approximately  10"/11"/13" X 0.25"
