About This Coffee
Buesaco is a quaint town in Nariño, but has become a commercial hub of specialty coffee in Southern Colombia. This exquisite coffee is cultivated at over 2,000 meters above sea level on average. Buesaco's unique geographic and climatic conditions, characterized by volcanic soil and an average temperature of 18.6 °C, provide an optimal environment for producing coffee with distinct mild taste, high acidity, and sweet notes. A big standout on the cupping table, this was not a coffee we wanted to miss sharing with you.
This lot was decaffeinated using the "sugarcane" process, a solvent-based decaffeination method using ethyl acetate, derived from sugarcane or beets. The process includes steaming the beans to open their pores and rinsing with the solvent to remove caffeine. Sugarcane process decafs are rapidly gaining a reputation for quality and transparency of flavor, particularly those from Colombia.
We hope you enjoy this new coffee offering as much as we loved tasting and roasting it!
