At Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee, we believe in more than just great coffee. We believe in creating meaningful change for the communities we partner with. This year, through our Flourishing Futures Initiative, we are raising $20,000 to build the Flourish Center - a Training and Distribution Center in Rwanda.
Rwandan families are at the heart of everything we do. However, many in these communities face challenges in sustaining their livelihoods and providing enough food for their families. The new Flourish Center will serve as a beacon of hope, equipping not only coffee farmers but entire communities with the skills and resources to thrive.
The center will provide hands-on training to help coffee farmers, and their families, cultivate 10x10 plots on their own land, growing a diverse range of foods for every season. By learning sustainable farming and permaculture practices, families will be able to nourish themselves year-round, fostering both self-sufficiency and resilience.
Our goals include:
Teaching Sustainable Farming: Families from across the community will learn how to cultivate small plots of land that can provide enough nutritious food for their household all year long, using sustainable practices that protect the environment.
Distributing Essential Resources: In addition to training, the center will also distribute eggs and milk to those in need, addressing malnutrition and ensuring families have access to vital sources of protein.
Supply Tools and Equipment: All necessary tools, fertilizers, and seeds will be provided for 200 families to cultivate 10x10 farm plots on their own land.
Through this initiative, we are not just supporting coffee farmers—we’re helping entire communities flourish.
