Eric is shy when you first meet him, but quickly shows himself to be bright and good-natured. He loves doing photography, playing football and playing with other kids of the same age. Eric loves traveling, and wants to be a bus driver when he grows up.

Eric was born with HIV/AIDS and also suffers from seizures. When he was a small child, he rolled into the fire during a seizure and severely burned one side of his face and losing one eye. Eric needs monthly visits to the hospital to continue treatment in these areas.

Eric is cared for by his older sister, Claudine. They lost their parents at a young age, and now live together in a house with Claudine’s baby girl, Sylvia.
